Family Members Applications

Family members of those who have Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK or are British nationals (not EEA members) can come to or remain in the United Kingdom to join their families under different categories such as:

This applies to people coming to the UK as the husband, wife, civil partner, fiancé(e), proposed civil partner or unmarried/same-sex partner of a person settled in the UK or a migrant worker/student.

This applies to those coming to the UK as biological children, including adopted children of a person who is a British citizen or has temporary or Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK.

This applies to people coming to the UK as the parent, grandparent or other elderly dependant of a person settled in the UK.

This applies to those coming to the UK as a dependent relative of a person who has limited leave to enter or remain as a refugee or person granted humanitarian protection.

This applies to people coming to the UK to get married or register a civil partnership. It does not matter if they are coming for a short visit or planning to stay in the UK.

This applies to the UK Border Agency's family re-union policy for family members of people recognised as refugees in the UK.

The immigration requirements need to be met for all the above categories. It is therefore advisable that legal assistance is thought prior to making the application.

The service we offer

Our team of specialist advisers will discuss your circumstances and identify which route is suitable for you. We will also assist to process the application by completing the relevant forms with you, assessing the support documents to ensure that they meet the requirements. In an event that the Entry Clearance Officer requests the applicant to attend an interview,  we will assist with the preparation by discussing questions that might be asked during the interview process. We will also assist in challenging any negative decision either with a review application or an appeal to the First Tier Tribunal in the UK.
